There is typically no downtime with Alma.
Treatments with Accent Prime are safe and effective for all skin types (I-VI) as well as for thin and delicate areas of the face, neck and décolleté.
Although a single treatment has produced very good results for many patients, it is quite common for patients to have two or three treatments over a few months. Your medical esthetician will advise you as to the number and frequency of treatments recommended for optimal results.
Gradual heating and an integrated cooling system prevent pain and a more comfortable treatment. There is no downtime. Patients may return to their normal activities post treatment.
Accent Prime is safe and effective with no side effects or downtime. You can return to your normal activities immediately after treatment.
Some patients see immediate results. More typically,
you will see results in two to four weeks with
improvement continuing for several months.

pre-care
- Do not wear makeup on the day of treatment.
- Excess hair may need to be shaved. Men should be cleanly shaved.
- Avoid treatments that may irritate the skin for 1-2 weeks prior to treatment (waxing, depilatories, etc.).
- Notify clinic with any changes to your health history or medications since your last appointment.
- History of herpes or cold sores may require an anti-viral prescription prior to treatment.
- Discontinue the use of retinol and hydroquinone 48 hours prior to your appointment.
post-care
- Avoid sun exposure and use a broad spectrum (UVA/UVB) sunscreen to prevent further sun damage.
- Redness and swelling may occur and resolve with time.
- Avoid heat – hot tubs, saunas, etc. for 1-2 days.
- Avoid skin irritants (examples below) a few days post-treatment.
- Products containing tretinoin, retinol, benzoyl peroxide, glycolic/salicylic acids, astringents, etc.
- Notify clinic of any concerns (blistering, excessive redness/swelling, etc.)
- Multiple treatments may be required.
- Collagen remodeling may take 3-6 months.
- Consult with clinic about when to resume skin care regime.
